    Ink and Dye remover for Leather, PVC and PU

    A powerful, dye transfer remover and pen-mark lifter that does not damage leather, PU and PVC surfaces.

    Based on plant and algae-derived ingredients, without solvents that offer strong but easy and risk-free cleaning. The remover lifts ink and dye from flexible surfaces without causing surface coatings to swell (no damage to the top coat aka clear coat on leather) or change their gloss or matt level. Instead of rubbing hard, the remover is applied and left to work on the dye or ink. 

    Size: 200ml (6.75 fl.oz)

    Instructions:

    TO REMOVE PEN MARKS

    Remove stains without delay. Do not clean or wet the surface before applying Geist. Ink & Dye Remover. Apply the remover directly onto the pen marks or spread with a cloth then leave it to lift the colour for at least 30 minutes, longer for older stains. Some heavy or older staining may need an overnight treatment. Many dyes visibly swim to the surface of the remover liquid, others may need some rubbing with a cotton bud to lift them from the grain. The cotton bud will absorb the dye as it loosens it. Wipe off the Remover with a dry, absorbent cloth and repeat the treatment if needed.

    When the pen mark or dye is no longer visible, clean the surface with Geist. Rapid Leather & Vinyl Cleaner or a moist cloth and leave to dry.

    Finally, protect the surface with Geist. Dye & Friction Blocker or Geist. Repel to prevent future discolourations and friction damage. 

    TO REMOVE DYE TRANSFER & OTHER STAINS

    Allowing this product time to work and lift the stains is key to not damaging the surface. DO NOT RUB. This can damage the top coat. Apply the product and wait. In some cases, multiple treatments over several days might be needed. The above before and after photos are from a heavily stained leather seat in a 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera. Dye from a sheepskin jacket was transferred onto the leather.

    STEP 1 - Pour the liquid on a cloth and wipe over the affected area and leave it overnight. The longer the better. 

    STEP 2 - The following morning - Clean the affected area gently using Geist. Rapid Leather & Vinyl Cleaner by spraying on a cloth or with a cleaning brush. DO NOT RUB. 

    STEP 3 - Repeat the above steps until you achieve the desired result. In the above case of the Porsche, this routine was followed for 7 days to remove all the stains. 

    Finally, protect the surface with Geist. Dye & Friction Blocker or Geist. Repel to prevent future discolourations and friction damage. 

    Attention:

    • Do not use on suede, nubuck, microfibre or absorbent surfaces such as aniline leather. 
    • Always test on an unseen area before use.
    • The effectiveness of the remover depends on the time it can work on the pen mark or dye stains. Longer is better.

    • in2Detailing offers free Next Day Delivery for all orders over £60 within the UK Mainland.  Orders under £60 will be subject to a carriage charge unless otherwise specified.  Carriage options and prices will be displayed at checkout (please see below for more information on services offered).  Cut off for Mainland UK Next Working Day Delivery is 12pm (Monday to Friday).

    • Our Next Working Day Delivery is applicable Monday to Friday with orders placed on Friday, or after the cut-off on Thursday, due to arrive on Monday.  Orders placed after the cut-off on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be SHIPPED on Monday to arrive on Tuesday.  We do not currently offer a Saturday delivery option.

    • Our Courier Delivery Service is NOT A GUARANTEED NEXT DAY DELIVERY SERVICE.  Although couriers deliver over 95% of orders the next working day, we cannot guarantee every order will be received the Next Working Day.  Postal charge refunds will NOT be issued for delays caused by Couriers.

    • Orders outside the UK, but within Europe, will be charged a flat rate of £20.00 per order.  WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT SHIPPING TO EUROPE.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    • Carriage to Northern Ireland is displayed at checkout and will vary depending of the weight of the order.

    • We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day of being placed.

    • Carriage cost for all delivery options includes insurance for loss or damage in transit.
