Why use Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer?

What this means is that you now have a protective coating of unparalleled durability. Unlike many trim products on the market C4 is an exceptionally thin (circa 30nm) optically clear film which means that it does not add an unattractive gloss film to the surface instead it restores all but the most faded trim to an as new condition. You can expect up to 2 years durability from a single application.

Application

Ensure that you have sufficient product for the job. If you have a vehicle that has a standard amount of trim that you need to coat such as a Porsche 996, BMW 5 series, then 15ml will be sufficient. If you have a vehicle that has larger areas of trim that need coating such as a vehicle with black plastic bumpers or cars such as a Mini R53 that has black plastic trim on the sills and wheel arches, you should choose the 30ml bottle
Do not dilute
Apply at a temperature above 5 degrees celsius and not in direct sunlight
We recommend wearing protective gloves to prevent the product drying out your skin
If you are applying indoors ensure that there is adequate ventilation
Ensure that the surface to be coated is entirely free from fats/oils or previously applied products – for this clean trim vigorously with a 1:10 dilution of Gtechniq W2 Universal Cleaner
Use the lint free application pads supplied with the C4 Permanent Trim Restorer to spread the coating onto the surface of your trim
Once you have spread the product onto a single piece of trim, immediately remove excess product using a Gtechniq Microfibre Cloth
Allow the coating to cure for 12 hours before getting wet
Use C4 Permanent Trim Restorer within 1 year of purchasing
Store opened bottles in a dry and cool storage area that's out of direct sunlight
We recommend only using opened bottles within three months of opening
Please note that C4 does not contain any black pigment so if your trim is exceptionally bleached, it may not fully restore its as new appearance. A good way to test if your trim will be recoloured satisfactorily by the product, is to wipe a damp microfibre cloth over the finish. If your trim colour is temporarily restored by the wetness of the cloth then it is most likely that C4 will work to restore your trim
If coating heavily textured trim you need to ensure that all coating residue is fully removed from the deep crevices of your trim as if not it may turn into an unsightly white powdery residue in the crevices. If you are coating heavily textured trim it is very important you prepare the trim very well using the W2 as described above together with a medium brush. We also recommend to use "long pile" microfibre cloths to better remove residue from the crevices of your trim

C4 utilises a covalent or chemical bond to become an extension of the plastic molecule it's protecting. Not to be confused with much weaker electrostatic bonds used by, amongst others, ptfe based polymers C4 swaps part of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your car's trim. Christmas and New Year Posting Dates

We recommend ordering as early as possible for delivery before Christmas however we expect any orders placed before the 12pm cut-off on Friday 20th December to arrive before Christmas. We do not guarantee delivery times and refunds will not be offered for orders that suffer courier delays.

Recently discovered this online shop for car detailing products. Superb selection from all the top brands, easy to navigate around the website and all purchases have been delivered really well packaged and extremely quickly with same day dispatch offered if bought within the working day.

Used on a Ford Transit LWB which looked as if the Trim had never been touched, had turned into a light faded grey in some areas. Bought the larger sized bottle, some extra applicator pads, and some pre cleaner for the bumpers and trim. Product is extremely easy to apply, a few drops end up covering a large area, and you can really notice the difference when you apply it. Buffing after to level the product off is quick and easy. Overall, for the results you get it is really simple and easy to use. Only challenging thing is requiring 12hours of clear weather after applying.

30ml Covered the transit with only a small amount left, noticeable water beading on the areas it has been applied and after a few weeks now I see no degradation in the product.

Really impressed with this product. The trim on my car was quite weathered but after use, it has fully restored to almost like new. First class service from In2Detailing once again.

Gives a rich black finish

I degreased every plastic and rubber surface thoroughly with 20% Surfex to ensure a good bond. I then coated each surface, mostly the wing mirror should and scuttle panel which had faded grey over the years. I also treated the rubber trims around the windows which this product is NOT technically designed for. However every surface dried off amazingly well, looking showroom again and taking years off the car. Durability on the rubber we will have to wait and see but early impressions are good. 1 star knocked off as not enough applicator pads come with the kit.
the 15ml bottle was enough to do my S40 with about 1/4 leftover. If you have multiple cars get the 30ml

C4 trim restorer

Excellent product but I wouldn't expect anything else from Gtechniq, it's made my tired trim look new
