CARPRO CQUARTZ BlackOut is a tyre and rubber coating that leaves an incredibly durable and natural satin-like protective appearance on tyres, rubber, and plastic trim. Utilising polysiloxane technology merged with a water based acrylic resin, this coating is far more durable than traditional tyre dressings. BlackOut's water base ensures to be gentle on tyres without the sticky side effects of some silicone based products. Prevent the deterioration of rubber and protect surfaces from harmful UV rays. BlackOut even restores the depth, and luster of plastic trim that has deteriorated over time.

in2Detailing offers free Next Day Delivery for all orders over £60 within the UK Mainland. Orders under £60 will be subject to a carriage charge unless otherwise specified. Carriage options and prices will be displayed at checkout (please see below for more information on services offered). Cut off for Mainland UK Next Working Day Delivery is 12pm (Monday to Friday).
Our Next Working Day Delivery is applicable Monday to Friday with orders placed on Friday, or after the cut-off on Thursday, due to arrive on Monday. Orders placed after the cut-off on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be SHIPPED on Monday to arrive on Tuesday. We do not currently offer a Saturday delivery option.
Our Courier Delivery Service is NOT A GUARANTEED NEXT DAY DELIVERY SERVICE. Although couriers deliver over 95% of orders the next working day, we cannot guarantee every order will be received the Next Working Day. Postal charge refunds will NOT be issued for delays caused by Couriers.

Doesn’t Live Up To It’s Promise

I feel a little saddened writing this review as I use and like a lot of Car Pro detailing products and all are very good, apart from this one.

I have been using Black Out for a year now so I think that constitutes a good, long term test.

I wash my tyres using CarPro Tyre Cleaner, this usually takes a couple washes before the cleaning foam remains white which is an indicator that you have removed all dirt and browning from your tyres.

Let’s start with the positive, this is a very easy product to apply to your tyres, place a few drips on to the supplied applicator sponge and wipe on the walls of your tyres.
Once applied the tyres look amazing with a dark sheen making them appear brand new.

Now for the negative, this look doesn’t last and at over £50/bottle I would expect more durability from the product.

My car was washed and CarPro Black Out applied last Wednesday and in the 4 days since we haven’t had any rain and I have driven a total 22 miles. Hardly punishing conditions for the product to endure. Today, Monday the tyres are looking very drab as the darkening effect has gone completely.

By contrast I dressed the tyres of my partners car with a much cheaper product from another manufacturer and her tyres look amazing.

If tyres need dressing after every wash I see no point in paying £50 for a product when I can get a better result from using something that is 1/10th of the price. There has to be some benefit in paying top price for something and sadly I don’t see it with this particular product.

What is the coating I used?
HYBRID SOLUTIONS GRAPHENE ACRYLIC TYRE SHINE SPRAY COATING

(I’m sure this product name will be removed if it is against In2Detailings policy and I do apologise if it is).

So that is my opinion of CarPro’s Black Out tyre dressing for what it is worth but it won’t stop me using other CarPro product.
